The Brunner Investment Trust PLC announces that on 11th June 2004 it purchased
30,000 Ordinary Shares 25p Shares, (representing 0.06% of the issued class of
capital), at 263p per Ordinary Share, for cancellation.

Settlement and cancellation of the purchased 30,000 Ordinary Shares is due on
16th June 2004 when the issued share capital of the Company will fall to
53,980,416 Ordinary 1p Shares.
