BUNZL TO ACQUIRE FOOD PROCESSOR SUPPLIER IN THE US
Bunzl plc, the international Group supplying business to business consumables,
announces an agreement in principle to purchase Koch Supplies Inc, a Kansas
City based distributor of supplies to the food processor and packing industry.
Koch Supplies, which had sales of $76.3m in 1999, operates from five locations
across the US and distributes a wide range of supplies including packaging
materials and personal protection equipment. Net assets at completion are
expected to be about $16m.
Commenting on the proposed acquisition, Anthony Habgood, Chairman of Bunzl plc
said:
'This is an important acquisition for Bunzl because it is a high quality
business which will greatly strengthen our already rapidly expanding
activities, supplying the food processing industry.'
