Repurchases of Shares in Close Period


Bunzl plc announces that it has entered into an irrevocable arrangement with its
broker, Citigroup Global Markets U.K. Equity Limited, to repurchase on its
behalf ordinary shares in Bunzl during the close period relating to the six
month period ending 30 June 2007. Any such repurchases will be effected within
certain pre-set parameters and in accordance with both the Company's general
authority to repurchase shares and Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules.
