Burberry Group plc - Director/PDMR Shareholding

Pursuant to DTR 3.1.4, Burberry Group plc (the "Company") announces that it received notice of changes to the shareholdings of Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR") on 18 July 2012 as follows:

1.   In accordance with the rules of the Burberry Group plc Co-Investment Plan (the "Plan"), the directors and PDMRs named below have opted to defer receipt of their bonus for the year ended 31 March 2012 and to invest it in ordinary shares in the Company of 0.05p each ("Shares") and have subsequently been granted nil cost options and awards over Shares ("Matching Shares").

The following purchases of Shares and the grant of nil cost options and awards of Matching Shares were made on 18 July 2012 under the Plan:

Shares were purchased on behalf of directors and PDMRs at an average price of 1211.99 pence per share, in London.

The Matching Shares do not vest for three years and are subject to performance conditions. If the directors or PDMRs resign during the three year holding period their rights to the Matching Shares will be forfeited.

2.   On 18 July 2012 the following PDMRs were awarded ordinary shares in the Company of 0.05p each ("Shares") under the Burberry Group plc International Free Share Plan 2003 ("IFSP") at nil cost:

Shares awarded under the IFSP cannot normally be disposed of for a period of three years after the award date.

3.   In accordance with the rules of the Burberry Senior Executive Restricted Share Plan 2004 (the "RSP"), the following directors and PDMRs received shares on 18 July 2012 following the vesting of rights or exercise of options as set out below.
