Burberry Group plc ('the Company')


Following the grant of options and awards over the Company's Ordinary Shares of
0.05p each ('Shares') and the purchase of Shares on behalf of directors under
the Co-Investment Plan yesterday, the Company announces the following changes in
the Share interests of its directors.

In accordance with the terms of The Burberry Group plc Co-Investment Plan ('the
Plan'), the following directors of the Company have opted to defer receipt of
their bonus for the year ended 31 March 2005 and to invest it in Shares.  The
resulting increases in their interests in Shares and in their contingent
interests in matching Shares awarded under the Plan are as follows:

The purchase of the Shares acquired on behalf of the directors was made on 21
July 2005 at a price of 428.3813p per Share; the award of the matching Shares
was made on 21 July 2005.  The matching Shares do not vest for three years and
if the director resigns during the three-year period the right to the matching
Shares will be forfeited.
