Transaction in own shares
Burberry Group plc ("Burberry") announces that on 5 September 2017 it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 0.05 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc. Such purchase was effected pursuant to instructions issued by Burberry on 19 July 2017, as announced on 20 July 2017:

Burberry intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.
Following the above transaction, Burberry holds 8,212,876 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 430,190,769 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company will be 430,190,769 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
