                 Appointment of Managing Director - Magners GB

                 John Holberry to join C&C Board in March 2008

Dublin, London, 30 January, 2008:  The Board of C&C Group plc ('C&C' or the 
'Group') is pleased to announce the appointment of John Holberry as Managing
Director of its Magners GB business with effect from 18 March 2008. He will join
the Board of the Group on appointment.


John, (49), joins the Group from Coors Brewers Limited where he has been
Managing Director, Coors Sales Operations since 2001. John has held a number of
senior positions in the Coors/Bass/Courage companies since joining in1987,
culminating in his appointment to the Bass Board in 1997.


Maurice Pratt, CEO of C&C, commented 'We are delighted to welcome John to C&C.
His considerable experience in the drinks industry in Great Britain will
spearhead the growth and further development of our Magners cider business in
that market. The appointment is a significant step in implementing the
re-organisation plan announced on 15 November 2007'.
