Retirement of Finance Director

Dublin, London, 8 January, 2009: C&C Group plc ('C&C'), today announced that Brendan Dwan will retire as Finance Director in May 2009. Brendan is 62 and has worked with C&C for 34 years.

Stephen Glancey, a chartered accountant with extensive financial experience, will assume the role of Finance Director in addition to his current role of Chief Operating Officer.

Tony O'Brien, Chairman of C&C said "Brendan played a huge role in the shaping and development of the Group over many years. I would like to thank him for his immense contribution and wish him well in his retirement."
