Yangibana Project

Rare Earth Minerals (AIM: REM) (the "Company") announces that Hastings Rare Metals Limited, the operator of the Yangibana rare earth project ('the Project'), in which the Company has a 30% interest, has commissioned an airborne hyperspectral imagery survey over the Project area in the Gascoyne Province of Western Australia.

The Project comprises six exploration licences covering approximately 204 square kilometres. The results of the survey are expected in mid May and will be used to direct future fieldwork.

The Company notes the release made by Hastings Rare Metals Limited on the Australian Stock Exchange regarding the survey.
