Acquisition of Business

Caffyns plc ('the Company') has today purchased the business of Skinners
(Eastbourne) Limited ('Skinners'), a Volkswagen dealer based in Eastbourne.
The Company has acquired its freehold premises, plant and equipment, stock and
goodwill for a cash consideration of approximately £1.4 million.


Skinners made a loss before taxation of £19,000 in the year ended 31st May
2001.


Consequently, the Company is delighted to represent Volkswagen in Eastbourne
to complement its Volkswagen representation in Haywards Heath and Worthing.
