Acquisition of Business

Caffyns plc ('the Company') announces that it has today purchased the business
of the Vauxhall dealer covering the Tunbridge Wells territory from the Piper
Group ('Pipers'). The Company has acquired the freehold premises, plant,
equipment, stock and goodwill. The total consideration for the assets purchased
is approximately £2.9 million and is payable in cash.

The dealership made a profit before taxation in the year ended 30 April 2003 of
£98,000 on turnover of £7.7m.

The Company is delighted to represent Vauxhall in Tunbridge Wells, which
complements its existing Vauxhall representation in East Sussex and Kent.
