Caffyns plc ('the Company')
Tender offer for up to 498,555 Ordinary Shares
at 455 pence per Ordinary Share ('the Tender Offer')
Further to the announcement of 26 March 2002, the Tender Offer referred to above
closed at 4.30pm yesterday.
Under the terms of the Tender Offer, 714,372 ordinary shares of 50p each
('Ordinary Shares') were tendered. Accordingly, all tenders were scaled down to
69.8 per cent. of the number tendered.
All Ordinary Shares successfully tendered will be acquired by Beeson Gregory on
behalf of the Company, free of all liens, charges and encumbrances and with all
rights attaching to and/or deriving from them.
It is expected that cheques will be dispatched, or appropriate arrangements made
in accordance with CREST assured payment arrangements, by 9 April 2002 to those
shareholders whose tenders have been accepted.
