Clinical Computing plc
Results of Annual General Meeting
Clinical Computing plc (the "Company"), the international developer of clinical information systems for the healthcare market and developer of programme management software, announces that at its annual general meeting, held earlier today, all resolutions were passed.
Howard Kitchner, non-executive Chairman of the Company, updated shareholders at the meeting with the following statement:
"The Company's operating results continue to improve when comparing the first five months of the year to the same period last year. Total revenue has been relatively consistent over the five month period, but effective cost controls introduced by the management team have lead to improved operating results.
In the Clinical business we have won three clinicalvision contracts in the five month period and three other clinicalvision customers completed their implementation and are actively using the product which provides us with new reference sites in England, Scotland and French-speaking Canada.
Our Hydra business is showing increasing revenues over the comparative five month period and continues to generate cash for the Group.
Finally, I would like to thank Professor Stanton Newman for the contribution he has made to the Company and the Board since joining us in December 2004. Stan has served as our independent director since his appointment and has assisted the Company with its transition to our clinicalvision V product line as well as with the acquisition of Hydra Management. With his new appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Community & Health Sciences at City University London requiring increased commitments on his time he has decided not to seek re-election and retires from the Board with effect from the close of this AGM. We are in the process of searching for a new independent director to assist in the future development of the Company."
