This new product release
The market
With a growing need for remote and extended care for patients with chronic diseases, this product is aimed at providing a low cost solution to capture information anywhere and at any time. Comprehensive medical records are maintained which ensures that health service providers are accurately compensated for new and traditional care practices provided in a care centre, hospital or in the community.
Technology
This product is the culmination of several years of development effort to create an enterprise class software platform. It has been developed in Java and hosted on standard internet technologies. A primary focus of the move to this new technology was to provide a platform supporting seamless communication protocols with other common devices, which are benefiting from the internet, such as handheld mobile devices and smart-phones.
Partners and customers
This release will allow our customers and their patients to benefit from the power and low cost nature of the internet by combining the highest levels of internet security with the ability to capture clinical documentation and patient information any time anywhere.
Clinicalvision V's new interface engine will allow the Company to rapidly develop electronic connections to other critical technologies in use by medical professionals, thus enhancing support of the clinical workflow process and reducing the cost of collecting information.
The Company's ability to interface with medical devices via this new interface engine compliments our partnership strategy and permits us to rapidly build new communication interfaces with selected partners.
Chairman Howard Kitchner, commenting said:
'With the release of clinicalvision V your Company has achieved a significant milestone in its evolution and now has a leading internet based clinical information system supporting evidence based medicine and secure electronic patient records. The first release of clinicalvison V will be implemented with several of our North American customers beginning in the new year. We expect to implement this new technology in our European sites later in 2009.'
