As required by Listing Rule 9.6.14R, Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia')
announces that Mr John May, a director of Caledonia, has been appointed a
non-executive director of Rathbone Brothers Plc ('Rathbones') with effect from 1
December 2007. Mr James Cayzer-Colvin, also a director of Caledonia, has
resigned as non-executive director of Rathbones with effect from the same date.
