Announcement of board changes
The board of Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') is pleased to announce the
appointments of Jamie Cayzer-Colvin and Will Wyatt as executive directors with
effect from Monday 4 April 2005.
Jamie Cayzer-Colvin, 39, joined the Caledonia group in 1995, initially working
at its speciality chemicals subsidiary, Amber Industrial Holdings ('Amber'),
before becoming an investment executive at Caledonia in 1999. He was appointed
an associate director in 2002 and represents Caledonia as chairman of Amber and
as a non-executive director of Rathbone Brothers, Polar Capital Partners, The
Sloane Club and Eddington Capital Management.
Will Wyatt, 36, joined the Caledonia group in 1998 as a project manager for its
engineering subsidiary, Sterling Industries. He became an investment executive
in 2000 and was appointed an associate director in 2002. He represents
Caledonia as a non-executive director of Sterling Industries, MORI, Terrace
Hill, Cobehold and Omniport Holdings and was previously a director of Meinl
European Land.
The Caledonia board announces that Michael Wyatt will be retiring as a
non-executive director of Caledonia on 31 March 2005. Major Wyatt was appointed
an executive director in 1975, served as deputy chairman from 1994 until 2001,
and became a non-executive director in 2002.
Commenting on these changes, Peter Buckley, Chairman of Caledonia, said:
'Michael Wyatt has played a huge part in shaping Caledonia's success over the
last 30 years. We wish him a long and very happy retirement.
Jamie Cayzer-Colvin and Will Wyatt have made an excellent contribution since
joining Caledonia and I am delighted to welcome them to the board.'
