CALEDONIA INVESTMENTS PLC
RECLASSIFICATION INTO AIC FLEXIBLE INVESTMENT SECTOR
Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") is pleased to announce that it has been reclassified by the Association of Investment Companies ("AIC") from the Global to the Flexible Investment sector.
The AIC launched the Flexible Investment sector in January 2016, incorporating "companies whose policy allows them to invest in a range of asset types". Caledonia is the 20th investment company now classified within the sector, a category also used by the Investment Association.
Commenting on the reclassification, Will Wyatt, Chief Executive of Caledonia, said:
"Caledonia aims to deliver long term growth to both shareholder capital and income by investing in a range of asset classes, across a variety of sectors and regions, through our four distinct pools of capital - Quoted, Income, Unquoted and Funds.
"We believe that this makes us most suited to the Flexible Investment sector and are therefore delighted that the AIC has made this change, which will further build our profile with investors and advisers."
