Caledonia Investments Plc - Statement By The Cayzer Trust Company Limited
Set out below is the full text of a statement made today by The Cayzer Trust
Company Limited. The Cayzer Trust Company Limited is a private company with a
34.7% shareholding in Caledonia Investments plc.
STATEMENT BY THE CAYZER TRUST COMPANY LIMITED
'The Cayzer Trust Company Limited ('Cayzer Trust') announces that at an
Extraordinary General Meeting held today, shareholders approved the Board's
resolution with 25,835,130 votes, representing 73.8% of the total votes cast.
The Sir James Cayzer Group's resolution was not passed with 25,708,481 votes
against it, representing 72.8% of the total votes cast.
Peter Buckley, Chairman of Cayzer Trust, stated:
'This is obviously a clear mandate from the shareholders to continue our
longstanding strategy of taking a long term investment perspective. We are
delighted that shareholders have supported the Board's recommendation.' '
