Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that on 8 November 2007 it
purchased 5,739 of its own shares of 5p each at a price of 1979.7756p per share.
These shares are to be held in treasury.

Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 221,278 of its ordinary shares in
treasury and has a total of 58,573,503 ordinary shares with voting rights
(excluding treasury shares) in issue.
