Transaction in Own Shares

Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that on 9 November 2007 it
purchased 33,227 of its own shares of 5p each at a price of 2023.3991p per
share. These shares are to be held in treasury.

Following the purchase, Caledonia holds 254,505 of its ordinary shares in
treasury and has a total of 58,540,276 ordinary shares with voting rights
(excluding treasury shares) in issue.
