Unaudited net asset value per share at 30 September 2005



Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') previously announced that it would
report under the provisions of International Financial Reporting Standards ('
IFRS') as from 30 September 2005. Accordingly, the company's unaudited net asset
value per ordinary share as at that date, calculated in accordance with IFRS,
was 1762p before deduction of an interim dividend.



By comparison, the equivalent figure calculated in accordance with UK Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles would have been 1772p.



All future monthly net asset value per share figures will be reported under
IFRS.
