that their previous notification of purchase of Income shares on 30 October
2000 should have related instead to the purchase of 1,000,000 Geared Ordinary
shares by Aberdeen Preferred Income Trust PLC.  The revised and corrected
position of Aberdeen Asset Management's holdings of relevant share capital in
