New software launched for cognitive research

Cambridge Cognition Holdings plc, (AIM: COG), which specialises in computerised neuropsychological tests including those enabling the early detection of dementia, announces the launch of Cantab Research Suite ('CRS'), the latest version of Cambridge Cognition's leading cognitive testing platform for academic research.

CRS is the leading cognitive assessment software for academic research, used to assess cognitive function in studies run by the leading academic institutions globally and cited in over 1,200 peer reviewed publications. The software is powered by Cantab technology enabling researchers to accurately assess cognitive function in over 30 CNS disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ADHD, schizophrenia and depression.

The launch of CRS provides researchers with a number of additional features and improvements including:

·      Added support for Windows 8.1 'touch' devices in addition to Windows 7

·      New layout for Cantab tests to use the entire screen for smaller tablet computers

·      New languages for non-verbal Cantab tests (e.g. Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Marathi)

·      Support for MTS (Match to Sample Visual Search) in original layout

·      Support for SRM (Spatial Recognition Memory) in original layout

·      Improved graphics
