Announces changes to its Board of Directors


TORONTO, CANADA - The Board of Directors of Canadian General Investments, 
Limited today announced the resignation of E. Louise Morgan as Chairman of the 
Board of Directors and as a member of the Board due to illness.

The Board further announced that to fill the vacancy created by the resignation 
of Mrs. Morgan, Jonathan A. Morgan was appointed a director of the Corporation 
and Vanessa L. Morgan, was elected Chairman of the Board. Ms. Morgan was 
previously Vice-Chairman of the Board.

Canadian General Investments, Limited established in 1930, is one of Canada's 
largest closed-end investment companies with total assets of approximately 
$350,000,000.
