Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited Appoints Vice President Of Business Development and General Council

 

Calgary, Canada, September 15, 2014 -Mr. Arthur Milholland,  President and CEO of Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited  (TSXV: XOP) (LSE:COPL)  ("COPL" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Richard Mays as Vice President of Business Development and General Council.

 

With his capital markets background and vast experience with off-shore projects Dr. Richard Mays is an ideal candidate for this role and COPL is delighted to retain an executive of his calibre.

 

Dr. Richard Mays is a qualified solicitor in Scotland and has served in several senior roles in the oil and gas industry. Until its recent sale to Impact Oil and Gas Limited, he served as Executive Chairman of Black Star Petroleum plc. He was formerly General Counsel and Director at DEO Petroleum plc, Executive Chairman of Peppercoast Petroleum plc and Vice President Commercial (Operations) at Oilexco North Sea Limited. He has provided consultancy and training services to a large number of oil and gas sector businesses. Richard is also a former Professor of Law and Deputy Dean of the Aberdeen business school.
