CAP-XX AGM statement
London - November 16, 2006 - Michael Quinn, Chairman of CAP-XX Limited, the
global leader in thin-form supercapacitors for mobile devices today announced at
its AGM the following update on trading:
'Since releasing our maiden annual results as a publicly listed company in
April, I am delighted to be able to report that current trading has continued to
exceed the expectations set at the time of our admission to AIM. Demand for
supercapacitors from exisiting customers for wireless applications continue to
advance strongly, whilst we have also been approached by a world leading lock
manufacturer; a leading handheld, mobile, email device manufacturer; and a
vehicle tracking systems manufacturer to integrate our supercapacitor into their
respective products. We continue to see opportunities we did not anticipate at
the time of the IPO.
'Our negotiations with the world's leading mobile phone handset producers
continue to advance in a very satisfactory manner. Work continues on the
integration of our supercapacitor into power management systems and your board
is increasingly confident that these developments will result in the adoption of
CAP-XX supercapacitors by a leading handset manufacturer by mid 2007 as
previously anticipated.
'We are also delighted to announce the appointment of Jon Edwards as European
sales and business development manager. Mr. Edwards, who has more than ten years
of experience selling high-value, complex components into the mobile handset
industry, will be based in the UK.
Mr.Edwards joins CAP-XX from Sony SES where he was responsible for sales of
camera modules into strategic mobile phone accounts. He was responsible for key
design wins with top tier players in the mobile handset industry and for
managing customer relationships from concept through to high volume
manufacture.'

Jon Edwards
Prior to joining Sony, Mr. Edwards worked as a sales manager with
STMicroelectronics and as an applications engineer with CMOS-camera-sensor
pioneer VLSI Vision Limited. He holds an honours degree in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering from Edinburgh University.
At CAP-XX, Mr. Edwards will cover key European accounts such as SonyEricsson,
Nokia and BenQ Siemens, and will assist with sales and support to mobile handset
manufacturers worldwide.
A supercapacitor's role in a mobile phone:
Thin enough to fit into a mobile phone without design modifications, a CAP-XX
supercapacitor provides the power bursts to drive multiple peak power events -
voice and data transmission, digital photos and video, GPS readings - then
recharges in between from a battery. The result is better:
• Photos - more powerful flash
• Phone performance - longer talk time, fewer drop outs
• Battery life - longer life and longer run times
• Audio quality - better bass quality and less background crackle
'The power demands placed on a battery today are enormous, as consumers continue
to push for smaller, lighter devices that offer more functionality,' explained
Kongats. 'CAP-XX supercapacitors resolve the power and performance limitations
of batteries, bridging the gap between the power demanded by the device, and the
power available from the battery.'
