Board Changes



The Capita Group Plc ('Capita'), the UK's leading professional support
services organisation, announces the following changes to its Board.



Mr Derek Fowler CBE, currently non-executive Deputy Chairman, has retired from
the Board.  Mr Fowler, 71, joined the Board just before the Group floated on
the USM in 1989.



Rod Aldridge, Executive Chairman of Capita, commented:



'The past eleven years have seen phenomenal change and growth at Capita, and
during this period Derek has been an invaluable source of advice and support
to the Board as a whole and to me personally.  On behalf of the Board I extend
our sincere thanks for his contribution to Capita's affairs, and our best
wishes for his well-earned retirement.'



Mr. Eric Walters is to join the Board as a non-executive Director.  He will
take up his appointment on 1st January 2001.  Mr Walters, 56, is a senior
partner of the private equity firm Alchemy Partners, which he joined in 1997
from Schroder Ventures, another leading private equity firm.



From 1980 to 1986 he held various senior management positions at Grand
Metropolitan PLC, latterly that of Chief Executive of the Retailing Division.
He previously spent eight years at Lex Service PLC.



Mr Walters is non-executive Chairman of Old English Inns PLC and a
non-executive Director of Vislink PLC.



Rod Aldridge commented further: 'We also welcome Eric Walters to the Board.
His extensive management expertise and his breadth of experience across many
private sector industries will be invaluable.  Eric's strong analytical
approach will add greatly to our strategic business planning processes as well
as the shaping of our major bids.'
