Capita Appoints Additional Non Executive Director
The Capita Group Plc ('Capita') announces that it has appointed Martina King as
a Non Executive Director, with effect from 1 January 2005.
Martina joins Capita from an illustrious career with Yahoo! where she became the
first Managing Director of Yahoo! UK and Ireland in 1999 and was then promoted
in 2003 to become Managing Director for Europe. She successfully led the London
based team through the initial dot.com bubble, the dot.com collapse and then
into a position of sustainable growth.
Previously Martina held a broad range of sales and general management positions
in both print and broadcast media, including six years at Capital Radio as Sales
Director and Managing Director of the London stations and an extensive period in
Sales at the Observer newspaper and The Guardian.
Martina is also a Non Executive Director of Johnston Press Plc, Board Director
of the Trading Board of the Prince's Trust, the President's Committee of London
First and Council Member of the Marketing Group of Great Britain. She brings a
wealth of industry knowledge to the business.
Martina King commented,
