                                   BOARD CHANGE


Capital & Regional plc, the co-investing property asset manager, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Manjit Wolstenholme as a non-executive director with
effect from 17 August 2006.

Manjit Wolstenholme is a member of the investment banking firm of Gleacher
Shacklock LLP. She was previously co-head of investment banking at Dresdner
Kleinwort Wasserstein, where she had spent twelve years after qualifying as an
accountant with Coopers & Lybrand.

Tom Chandos, chairman of Capital & Regional, said:  "I am delighted that we have
been able to appoint Manjit Wolstenholme as a non-executive director of Capital
& Regional. She is not only an exceptional corporate financier but also has
substantial experience in the structuring and management of financial
institutions, from which I am sure we will benefit ".

The Company confirms that there is no other information to be disclosed under
the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13 in relation to this appointment.
