  RETIREMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Capital & Regional plc, the co-investing asset manager announces that, as stated in the Company's 2008 preliminary results, Hans Mautner, a non-executive director, retired from the Board today after six years of service.

The Company would like to thank Hans for his significant contribution to the Group over the past six years and extend its best wishes to him for the future.
