CAPITAL & REGIONAL PLC:

THE GALLERIES SHOPPING CENTRE BRISTOL

Capital & Regional plc announces that the Mall Fund has exchanged contracts for the sale of The Galleries Shopping Centre Bristol to HSBC European Active Real Estate Trust for a price of £50.2m.

The sale price reflects a premium to the 30 September 2010 valuation.

Capital & Regional has an interest of 16.7% in the Mall Fund
