Interim Results Webcast, September 2005

Cairn Energy PLC will announce its interim results to 30th June 2005 on Tuesday,
20th September 2005. The stock exchange announcement is scheduled for release at
07.00am.

The group's results presentation is being held in London on the morning of the
20th at 09.00am. This will be broadcast live via an audio webcast.
