CAPRICORN ENERGY PLC ("Capricorn" or "the Company")

TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SHARES

Capricorn announces that, on 5 January 2022, it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of ²¹/₁₃ pence each (the "OrdinaryShares") on the London Stock Exchange from Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc ("Morgan Stanley"). Such purchase was effected pursuant to the instructions issued by the Company in accordance with the non-discretionary share repurchase arrangements entered into with Morgan Stanley, as announced on 15 November 2021.

Aggregate number of Ordinary Shares purchased:	65,547
Lowest price paid per share:	193.00 pence
Highest price paid per share:	194.60 pence
Average price paid per share:	193.86 pence

The Company intends to cancel the purchased Ordinary Shares.

Since 15 November 2021 , the Company has purchased 2,846,696 shares at a cost (including dealing and associated costs) of £5,304,954.15.
