Appointment of Chief Operating Officer

 

 

 

Carclo plc is pleased to announce that it has appointed Stephen Nixon as Interim Group Chief Operating Officer. This is not a Carclo plc board position. Stephen will have responsibility for all of the operations of the Technical Plastics and LED Technologies Divisions. He will report to Mark Rollins, Executive Chairman.

 

Stephen has a strong engineering background, with the first 15 years of his career spent at the Ford Motor Company in the UK and Germany. He remained in the automotive industry for the next five years working in European general management roles for Freudenberg, before moving to Renold plc as their Group Operations Director. At Renold, Stephen was responsible for 3,000 employees across 20 countries in a variety of engineering manufacturing operations. Since 2007, Stephen has successfully focussed on undertaking interim CEO and COO roles for a range of underperforming engineering businesses, including automotive and lighting businesses. He is a fluent German speaker.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Mark Rollins, Executive Chairman said:
