                    Result of Extraordinary General Meeting

Carclo plc announces that the ordinary resolution to approve the disposal of ECC
Card Clothing to NV Bekaert SA for a total consideration of up to £8.6 million
was duly passed at the extraordinary general meeting held earlier today.

Completion of the sale remains conditional on Turkish merger clearence having
been obtained.
