Completion of Disposal
Carclo plc announces that, following satisfactory
consultation with the affected employees, the sale of its
Brunton Shaw wire rope manufacturing business was
completed on 30 September 2000.
As previously announced on 14 September 2000, the business
and operating assets have been purchased by a newly formed
subsidiary of Usha Beltron Ltd. to be called Brunton Shaw
(UK) Limited. Cash proceeds of £3.3 million have been
received, representing the estimated book value at
completion of operating assets transferred to the new
company.
