Carillion completes sale of Crown House

Business and construction services company, Carillion plc, has completed the
sale of its mechanical and electrical engineering business, Crown House, to
Laing O'Rourke plc.

The terms of the sale were in line with Carillion's previous announcement on 12
May 2004. The sale price was £17.3 million, which will generate a net
exceptional profit for Carillion of £9.9 million, before goodwill write back.
