Carillion completes sale of business in France

Support services and construction company Carillion plc has completed the sale
of its civil engineering and building business in France, Carillion BTP, to the
local management team, backed by Ciclad.

The sale was completed in accordance with the terms announced by Carillion on 11
October 2004.
