Carillion PLC 19 February 2008 19 February 2008 Carillion joint venture secures £350 million facilities management contract for Philips Support services and construction company Carillion's Netherlands joint venture has been selected for a five-year facilities management contract for Philips worth a total of £350 million for direct and managed services. The joint venture with Arcadis NL - Arcadis Aqumen facility management (AAfm) - will expand the existing Philips' portfolio to include the major proportion of the company's sites in the Netherlands, almost doubling the space under management to 1.6 million square metres, including office and production facilities. The contract, due to start in April 2008, will provide a range of services including facilities management, maintenance, cleaning, security, mail & logistics and space planning. John McDonough, Carillion's chief executive said: 'We are delighted to be extending the services we provide for Philips with a contract that reinforces AAfm's position as market leader in the Netherlands.'
