     PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT DATE / PRESENTATION - MONDAY 12 NOVEMBER 2007

Carr's (CRM.L), the Cumbria-based agriculture, food and engineering group,
proposes to announce its results for the 52 weeks to 1 September 2007 on Monday
12 November 2007.

On that day, there will be a presentation to brokers' analysts and private
client brokers between 13:00 and 14:00, over a sandwich lunch, at the offices of
Bankside Consultants, 1 Frederick's Place, London EC2R 8AE. Those wishing to
