                     Appointment of Chief Financial Officer


Newsplayer Group plc ('NPG' or the 'Company') is pleased to announce the
appointment of David Wiseman to the Board of the Company as Chief Financial
Officer, with effect from 1st September 2003.


David William Wiseman, BSc ACA, (aged 48) is a chartered accountant and
financial manager with some 23 years' experience in private and public companies
(both AIM and fully listed firms). Previous experience includes some 10 years in
the media industry working for small and large groups including Kevin Morley
Group, the FKB Group and the Birkdale Group and, more recently, 6 years'
experience in the housebuilding sector including working for Laing Homes and
Furlong Homes.


David Wiseman is currently a director of Millbrook Residents Limited and
Keyaction Management Limited.
