NEWSPLAYER GROUP PLC - EGM STATEMENT


Newsplayer Group plc announces that at the Extraordinary General Meeting held
earlier today all of the resolutions were duly passed.  Consequently both the
placing of new shares to raise £2,750,000 in additional working capital and the
acquisition of Betelgeuse Productions Inc. ('BPI') have now become
unconditional.  The acquisition of BPI is expected to complete within seven
days.
