                 Newsplayer Group plc responds to press speculation


In light of press speculation at the weekend, Newsplayer Group plc ('NPG' or the
'Company') confirms that it is in negotiations with an investment group which
has expressed an interest in subscribing for approximately £1,000,000 of new
shares in NPG at an anticipated price of 20p. The Company expects the investment
to be concluded imminently and further information will be released at that
time.
