                              MILESTONE GROUP PLC

                              SENIOR APPOINTMENT


Following its Annual General Meeting today Milestone Group PLC ('Milestone' or 
'the Group'), the AIM listed cross media group, announced the appointment of Mr
Tom McGowran as the Group's new Publishing Director.


Mr McGowran was formerly Chief Executive of Tindle Newspapers, the private
publishing business, and was responsible for overseeing its increase in
profitability from just over £1 million in 1996 to over £5 million in 2003. Mr
McGowran will join Milestone on 17th May 2004.


Commenting on the appointment Andy Craig, Chief Executive, stated:


'We are delighted that the Group has been able to attract someone of Tom's
experience and reputation. This key appointment will further strengthen our
senior management team as we continue to grow our publishing division. It also
underlines the confidence Tom has in the unique cross media strategy which
Milestone has adopted.'
