                      Milestone Group PLC (the 'Company')

                   Notification of major interests in shares

The Company received notification on 22 December 2003 from Landfinance Limited,
a British Virgin Islands company, informing it that following a purchase of
50,000 ordinary shares on 19 December 2003, they have a notifiable interest in
665,000 ordinary shares representing 3.08 per cent. of the issued ordinary share
capital of the Company.
