Milestone's subsidiary creates app for Nike's launch of new England kit

Milestone, the AIM quoted (AIM: MSG) provider of digital media and technology solutions, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Oil Productions Limited T/A Relative ("Relative"), has been commissioned by Hotel Creative Ltd ("HCL") to work on the Nike launch for the England Football team's new kit. The new kit will be used during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The launch took place on Thursday 3^rd April 2014.

HCL is a multi-discipline creative consultancy company based in London, which approached Relative to work with them on the Nike launch event. This event will encourage members of the public to share their experiences using tag #RISKEVERYTHING at Nike's Specialist Boxpark store in Shoreditch, London. 

Relative has developed an app that allows fans of England and Nike to join in and express their support of the team. By creating their own "Supporter Selfie", they can be added to the video wall in store alongside stars and other fans.

The HTML5 app uses Instagram's Application Programming Interface (API) and geo tagging to identify images taken in store and afar. These are then approved by store staff as suitable images to be included on the video wall. This will create a branded experience for Nike that works in a 'destination' location while being amplified across customers' social networks.

This is the first digital brand expression that Relative has created for HCL, with several more in the planning stage. 

This work comes shortly after Relative co-hosted a 'mixer' night with Here East at the SxSW festival in Austin, Texas in March 2014 as part of the Hackney House Programme.  Relative created two unique digital art installations that reacted to the crowd movement and tracked the performers on stage to generate art in real time.
