finnCap Group plc strengthens debt advisory team with experienced hires

Graham Cooke and Krishan Raval bring an extensive track record in sourcing debt funding for sponsored and non-sponsored corporates

London, 5 June 2019 - finnCap Group plc ("finnCap"), a leading adviser and broker to ambitious growth companies, is delighted to announce that it has expanded its debt advisory team with two senior new hires. The enlarged team will enhance finnCap's ability to source and structure debt finance for its clients from an increasingly diverse range of lenders.

Graham Cooke joins as a Partner from RBS/Natwest where he worked for 30 years. He has experience in corporate coverage and debt origination. Among his previous roles within RBS/Natwest, Graham was national head of debt origination in structured finance with a focus on the small to medium sized enterprise (SME) marketplace.

Krishan Raval joins as an Associate from Livingstone Partners. He has five years' experience and brings specific expertise in sponsored and non-sponsored mid-market debt raise transactions including refinancings, recapitalisations and acquisition financings. Prior to his role at Livingstone Partners, Krishan was an analyst at EY in the Capital and Debt Advisory team.

The appointments follow the increased deal flow seen by finnCap across both public and private markets, including recent transactions such as Universe Group plc's acquisition of Celtech, Inflexion's acquisition of Creative Car Park and the refinancing of Red7Marine.

finnCap's debt advisory team assists companies in sourcing debt finance and advises on the structuring of that debt. An experienced adviser has become more necessary than ever with debt finance now being provided by an increasing variety of alternative and traditional lenders. The debt advisory team works across public and private, sponsored and non-sponsored businesses to advise on the appropriate level of debt to help them accelerate their growth.

Alistair Hay, Partner at Cavendish Corporate Finance Debt Advisory, comments: "I am delighted that Graham and Krishan have joined finnCap's debt advisory business. Graham's extensive experience of helping corporate clients to raise debt finance and Krishan's private equity and corporate track record heighten our understanding of the debt funding requirements of both sponsored and non-sponsored companies."

Sam Smith, Chief Executive of finnCap Group plc, comments: "I am very pleased to welcome Graham and Krishan to finnCap Group and look forward to working with them as we continue to enhance the Group's debt advisory capabilities. Both Graham and Krishan bring immensely valuable experience and expertise. Their arrival further strengthens finnCap's ability to advise across the ever-evolving debt marketplace and is a key element of the capital raising services we provide to ambitious growth companies."
