IS Solutions secure new contracts in the UK and US
During the first five weeks of the current financial year demand for project
and recurring revenue work at IS Solutions has been very encouraging. The
Group is pleased to announce it has also successfully secured a number of new
clients and projects both in the UK and the USA totalling c£2.5million.
In the US, IS Solutions has won an order from Xentex Technologies,
manufacturers of laptop computers, to build the first phase B2B and B2C web
solutions due to launch in April and based around BroadVision's One to One
application suite.
In the UK, IS Solutions has been awarded five new client projects including:
* Eurostar Group
re-designing and re-building Eurostar's web-site in order to utilise more of
BroadVision's capabilities. In addition, IS Solutions' Technical Services
Division will provide application support and hosting facilities.
* Woolwich Independent Financial Services (WIFAS)
the designing and implementation of sales aids for the independent consultants
in relation to the educating and marketing of stakeholder pensions, together
with a new web site, to be launched in April, which will utilise Oracle's Portal
3 application. Technical Services will provide a staging server service for
WIFAS.
* Proquote
AXL, acquired by the Group last year, has won a contract to further develop and
expand Proquote's current service into a professional-market focussed offering.
The award winning Proquote Internet Service is the first mass-market product
licensed to deliver comprehensive London Stock Exchange market information via a
public network. In January, Proquote won the Best Investor Innovation category
in the Shares UK Equity Awards 2001.
* Toshiba Europe GmbH
design, implementation, and commissioning of hardware and software for Toshiba
Europe's hosting centre project plus on-going hosting, connectivity, support and
maintenance services.
Also in Europe, IS Solutions, which already has developed a strong
relationship with Toshiba, has rolled out its corporate client extranet for
Toshiba PC Division France.
In addition, the Group has recently completed several internet projects; new
sites include: Ede and Ravenscroft (www.edeandravenscroft.co.uk) the Well
Hung Art Company (www.wellhungart.co.uk) and The Children's Trust
(www.childrenstrust.co.uk).
IS Solutions' Technical Services orders for on-going support and maintenance
include contracts with Thorn Lighting France, Raleigh, Thomas Cook, and
ThirdSpace, the joint venture between Oracle and Alcatel.
Overall, the Board is pleased with the level of business, both new and
recurring and is optimistic for prospects for the current year. The major
contracts identified in the announcement made by the Company on 2 January
2001 remain under discussion but the Directors do not anticipate an early
conclusion to the negotiations.
