Capital Lease Aviation PLC 03 March 2008 3 March 2008 Capital Lease Aviation PLC ('CLA' or 'the Company') ACQUISITION OF AIRCRAFT The Board of CLA, the AIM quoted aircraft leasing company, advises that it has completed the purchase of a jet aircraft from a European Airline. SALIENT DETAILS • CLA has paid approximately US$6.6m for the Fokker 100 aircraft; • The Company paid the purchase price from its existing cash reserves; • The intentions of the Company are to lease this plane to Skywest Airlines Pty Ltd ('Skywest') in order to support a capacity increase as is required by Skywest; • The aircraft has been inspected by the fleet management of Skywest and found to be satisfactory. With delivery having taken place, the aircraft has been entered onto the Australian aircraft register on Skywest Air Operators Certificate; • The aircraft was purchased from a renowned German operator with an excellent technical history. The CLA technical representative who inspected the aircraft advises that this aircraft will be 'the best aircraft in the fleet in terms of overall condition, records and appearance.' Further details of the lease arrangement will be announced as and when it is signed by Skywest. CLA, which currently owns two Fokker F100 passenger jet aircraft - both of which are under lease to Skywest, will adopt a flexible approach to the type of aircraft it purchases moving forward. This will be driven principally by the requirements of its customers as it expands the fleet of aircraft that it owns and leases. ---ENDS--- Enquiries: CAPITAL LEASE AVIATION PLC Jeff Chatfield, Executive Chairman 07783 942 553 STOCKBROKERS WH Ireland Limited 020 7220 1670 MEDIA Maxine Barnes, Nick Rome & Nick Farmer Bishopsgate Communications 020 7562 3350 NOMINATED ADVISER James Joyce, David Porter WH Ireland Limited 020 7220 1666 Notes to Editors About CLA CLA was incorporated by Avation on 6 June 2007 with the purpose of owning and leasing a portfolio of commercial jet aircraft to a wider customer base of regional and international airlines.
