               Statement re: press comment

The  directors of Claims Direct plc ('The Company')  note
the    recent   press   speculation   regarding   alleged
investigations  by the Department of Trade  and  Industry
and  the Financial Services Authority.  The directors  of
the  Company  confirm that the DTI visited the  Company's
premises  in  March 2001, and the Company  has  been  co-
operating  fully by providing information requested.  The
directors  are unaware of both the reasons for,  and  the
exact nature of the investigation. Both at that time  and
again  prior  to  the release of its  annual  report  and
accounts,   the  Company  sought  advice  regarding   the
requirement  to  make  a  public  statement   about   the
investigation.  The advice was that such a statement  was
unnecessary.

Contrary to the press comment, the directors are  unaware
of  any  investigation into the Company by the  Financial
Services Authority.
